Milano Cortina 2026 is proud to have Beatrice Vio as its Ambassador. Paralympic champion, model of strength and positivity, Jovanotti's "magic girl", direct and proud. She began practising fencing in 2002, when she was only five years old.

In 2008 she was struck down by fulminating meningitis and had all four limbs amputated; two years later she discovered wheelchair fencing. Two years later, she discovered wheelchair fencing. From there, success after success: under-17 world champion in 2011, first world cup participation in 2012, first world cup golds in 2013, European champion in 2014 and world champion in 2015.

She won two golds in individual foil at Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020, a silver in team foil (Tokyo 2020) and a bronze in team foil (Rio 2016). Flag bearer at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics. His three s's are Fencing, Scouting and School. His motto: 'If it seems impossible then it can be done'.
