The Milano Cortina 2026 Athletes’ and Coaches’ Commission (CAT26) was instituted to meet the provisions in the Host City Contract and the candidacy dossier presented in 2019. CAT26 is an advisory board recognised by the IOC and IPC. It consists of athletes and coaches that have participated in prior Olympic and Paralympic Games and other international sports competitions.

The commission:

• promotes Olympic and Paralympic values and sports;

• protects the physical and mental health of athletes during the Games;

• supports the Organising commission in choosing the level of services for athletes participating in the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games;

• promotes programmes for training and support aimed at athletes nearing the end of their sports careers;

• encourages sustainable Games;

• supports the Organising commission in choosing the level of services for athletes;

• promotes the Winter Olympics and Paralympics among the public, stakeholders and national/international athletes participating in the Milano Cortina 2026 Games.
