General Terms and Conditions of Use for Milano Cortina 2026 Press Room
Welcome to Milano Cortina 2026 Press Room (“Press Room”) a reserved area for the press managed by MiCo Media Relation through which you will access to images, photos and videos and receive via email press releases and other communications related to the Games.
FONDAZIONE MILANO CORTINA 2026 (“Milano Cortina 2026”), the organizing committee for the 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (“Games”), is a private foundation established under the laws of Italy, whose registered office is located at Piazza Tre Torri 3, 20145 Milan, Italy, VAT number: 11199200962.
Milano Cortina 2026 is in particular responsible for planning, organizing, financing and delivering the Games and associated events, as well as for promoting the Games in Italy and internationally.
The Website and all of its sub-domains, including the Press Room website accessible at the following address: https://milanocortina2026.olympics.com/en/press-room, are the property of Milano Cortina 2026.
1. PURPOSE OF THE GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE
The purpose of these General Terms and Conditions of Use (“GTCU”) is to define the conditions, rights, obligations, responsibilities, and limits applicable to all users (“User/s”) of the Press Room.
The GTCU form a legally binding contract that is enforceable against each User who uses the Press Room.
2. ACCEPTANCE OF THE GTCU
By accessing the Press Room, each User acknowledges that he/she has read, understood and accepted the present Terms of Use as well as the associated documents and in particular to have read the Press Room’s Privacy Policy, which can be accessed at: https://milanocortina2026.olympics.com/en/privacy-notice-press-room
3. CONDITIONS OF ACCESS TO THE PRESS ROOM
Access to the Press Room is reserved only to persons authorized by Milano Cortina 2026, following the information required in the form accessible at https://milanocortina2026.olympics.com/en/press-room.
In particular, Milano Cortina 2026 will send an email to all authorized persons who have correctly completed the form to finalize their registration. Such email allows authorized persons to create their account by confirming the information previously completed in the access request form, by accepting the GTCU and by creating a password
4. AVAILABILITY OF THE PRESS ROOM
The user acknowledges and accepts that Milano Cortina 2026 does not guarantee continuous availability of the Press Room, in the case of maintenance or updating operations or following events beyond its control that may cause interruptions or a disruption of service. In such cases, Milano Cortina 2026 will take all reasonable measures available to it to deal with these interruptions or disturbances.
The user acknowledges and accepts that the connection to the Press Room may be interrupted or terminated any time by Milano Cortina 2026.
5. RESPONSIBILITY
The User acknowledges that he/she uses the Press Room under his/her sole responsibility. In particular, it is the User’s responsibility to be cautious against Internet’s dangers and to take all necessary measures to protect his/her own data, equipment and/or software.
Milano Cortina 2026 declines all responsibility in the event of an interruption of the Press Room, the occurrence of malfunctions or any damage resulting from fraudulent acts by third parties and/ or User(s).
Milano Cortina 2026 may not be held liable for any cause that is due to force majeure, including if such force majeure affects one of its subcontractors, nor for any event beyond its exclusive control.
Milano Cortina 2026 shall not be held liable for any damage whatsoever, regardless of the cause, origin, nature or consequence thereof, arising in particular from:
- the non-compliant, fraudulent, illicit or inappropriate use of the Press Room by the User;
- consultation or use of the Press Room and/or the User’s personal access account by a third party to whom the User has communicated his or her password or who has had access to the User’s personal access account through no fault of Milano Cortina 2026;
- damage of any kind resulting from the use of information provided by the Press Room;
- disruptions or interruptions, bugs and/or total or partial unavailability of the Press Room;
- any damage resulting from the fraudulent intrusion by a third party.
- Milano Cortina 2026 cannot be held liable for any damages resulting from direct or indirect damage suffered as a result of the use of the Press Room by the User.
6. HYPERTEXT LINKS - ACCESS TO THIRD PARTY WEBSITES
Hypertext links to the Press Room may only be created with the prior written authorization of Milano Cortina 2026.
Milano Cortina 2026 shall not be held liable for any hypertext links set up within the framework of the Press Room to other resources on the Internet.
7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
The Press Room is an intellectual work protected by the Italian and international copyright law legislation and is exclusive property of Milano Cortina 2026.
All trademarks referenced on the Press Room are trademarks protected by registration. Thus, except for what is set forth below, any distribution, copy, duplication, modification, transfer, representation or reproduction, in whole or in part, of the Press Room or of any of the elements that make it up, in any way and for any reason whatsoever, is prohibited. Failure to comply with this prohibition is likely to constitute an act of counterfeiting for which the author is liable.
Without prejudice to the above, the User is authorized to reproduce the content (e.g. images, videos and press releases) that Milano Cortina 2026 makes available to the User on the Press Room. The reproduction of images and videos requires the prior mention of Milano Cortina 2026 credits.
It is also forbidden to copy, modify, create a derivative work, reverse the conception or assembling, or in any other way attempt to reproduce the source code (except as provided by law), sell, assign, sub-license or transfer in any way whatsoever any right relating to the Press Room.
Milano Cortina 2026 or any other holder of these rights may take any measure or action, including legal action, to stop an infringement of its rights, in particular intellectual property rights, and reserves itself the right to claim damages in the event of such an infringement.
8. PERSONAL DATA AND COOKIES
Milano Cortina 2026 ensures the protection of personal data transmitted by Users under the conditions set out in its Privacy Policy and in accordance with the information provided to Users when their data is collected. The user acknowledges that he or she has read and understood the Press Room’s Privacy Policy, which can be accessed at the following address: https://milanocortina2026.olympics.com/en/privacy-press-room
9. MODIFICATIONS OF THE GTCU
GTCU may be updated by Milano Cortina 2026, with binding effects for Users, subject to the right of withdrawal to be sent to the address indicated in Article 10 below.

11. APPLICABLE LAW
