The Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 and Eni announce that they have signed an agreement intended to support the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

For Eni, sport is a universal language and a meeting place between different cultures, a tool for integration and a symbol of passion and perseverance to achieve goals. The Olympics and Paralympics are the maximum expression of sport and its values ​​and Eni has chosen to support them, recognising their strategic role for the whole of Italy, sharing its plural vision, attentive to the inclusion of people's diversity.

Together for the Italian Game

Eni wants to be a leader in the energy transition and has set itself the objective of achieving zero net GHG emissions from industrial processes and products by 2050 thanks to a concrete and structured decarbonisation strategy, and already offers a variety of products, services and decarbonised solutions that it will make available to the Foundation. The Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games will embrace different territories and cultures over a span of 22 thousand square kilometres. With sustainability in mind, 93% of pre-existing facilities will be used and these Games will have a close gender balance, with the record for women's events.

Values ​​that are synergistic with those of Eni which, through the partnership with the largest event that Italy will host in the next twenty years, wants to confirm its commitment to the future of the country and to increasingly sustainable energy, through a fair transition that creates value in the long term and allows everyone to access reliable and cleaner energy, thus contributing to greater protection of the environment.

An ambitious challenge

The 2026 Winter Olympics, three years after its launch, already have several records – commented Giuseppe Ricci, General Director of Energy Evolution at Eniand they are all in line with the values ​​that inspire us.
