In the heart of the Dolomites, the Tofane complex has historically been the stage for great skiing events and epic sporting triumphs. Formerly the host of the 1956 Olympic Winter Games, in 2026 it will host the women's Alpine skiing events and, for the first time, Para Alpine skiing.

The complex is particularly famous for its majestic Olympia delle Tofane, one of the most iconic slopes in the world, with a long history intertwined with the Olympic Games. Following the success in Cortina in 1956, it became a regular stop on the Women's World Cup circuit for downhill and super-G races starting in 1993. In 2021, it hosted the Alpine Skiing World Championships. Between 6 and 15 March 2026, Cortina will host Para Alpine skiing competitions for the first time, with champions racing at full speed towards the highest podium.
