Jannik Sinner’s letter to Team26

Dear Friends,

I am proud to be part of Team26 because playing on this team will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will bring us emotions, new friendships and unexpected encounters, but above all, it will allow us to be part of an extraordinary project: the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026.

Since I was a child, sport has always been a fundamental part of my life. Winter sports, in particular, hold a special place in my heart: I learned to ski when I was just a child, and ever since, snow and ice, the adrenaline of the slopes, and the allure of the mountains have been me thorugh every winter.

Being part of an event like the Winter Games is not only a unique opportunity to experience the thrill of sports competition up close but also an extraordinary chance to create something unforgettable together.

The role of the Volunteers is crucial to the success of this event: we will be the beating heart of the Games, the smile that welcomes the athletes, the spectators, and all who come to experience this adventure.

Our passion, commitment, and dedication will make Milano Cortina 2026 a memorable experience for everyone. We will have the opportunity to meet people from all over the world, learn about new cultures, and share our love for sport. Every gesture we make, every word we say, will be an invaluable contribution that will remain imprinted in the memories of those who participate in this event.

Being part of Team26 means deciding to step up and experience an inclusive adventure that I am sure will leave indelible memories for us all: we will  all make up the colours of a stunning picture that will tell the story of Italy, its magnificent landscapes, and its incredible beauty to the whole world. Together, we will tell the story of the new Italian Spirit, vibrant and dynamic. And we will do so with the unique energy of those who choose to be part of once in a lifetime opportunity.

It will be a journey that will enrich us not only as volunteers but, above all, as people.
