Use of the Gen26 Label

The Gen26 Education Programme wants to take International Olympic Committee credo “A better world through sport”, into all Italian schools.

In collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Education and Merit, CONI and CIP, Gen26 aims to build bridges between schools and youngsters, and the sports movement.

It aims to engage young generations in the big Games project, inspired with the Olympic and Paralympic values, encourage a healthy lifestyle and promote skills needed for organising a big event as a work opportunity for youngsters.

For greater impact throughout Italy with as many youngsters as possible, Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 confers the Gen26 label to associations that:
- Promote Olympic/ Paralympic values, especially respect, equality, inclusion, zero discrimination;
- Promote sport and a correct healthy lifestyle with youngsters;
- Take Olympic and Paralympic athletes into schools;
- Create synergy between schools and sports associations;
- Promote university and further education courses on the competences needed for organising a sporting event and the spreading of Olympic and Paralympic knowhow.
