This exhibition, open at the Royal Palace until 30 June, forms part of the initiatives in the Milano Cortina 2026 Cultural Programme in the run-up to the Games.

Two great exponents of Impressionism, Cézanne and Renoir, will be the stars of one of the most eagerly awaited exhibitions in Milan, at Palazzo Reale until 30 June 2024.

Featuring 52 of the greatest masterpieces by these two French artists, the "Cézanne/Renoir" exhibition is part of the Milano Cortina 2026 Cultural Olympiad, a multi-venue, multidisciplinary, plural programme to promote Olympic and Paralympic Values through culture, heritage and sport.

A great opportunity for the Cultural Olympiad

"This exhibition of two such important French artists as Paul Cézanne and Pierre-Auguste Renoir is a huge opportunity for the Milano Cortina 2026 Cultural Olympiad in the run-up to Winter Games,” said Diana Bianchedi, Chief Strategy Planning and Legacy Officer of Milano Cortina 2026. "The Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games are just around the corner and we want to emphasise the importance of the cultural proximity of two countries such as Italy and France to mark the 150th anniversary of the birth of the Impressionist movement. As the cultural programme of the Games and second pillar of the Olympic Movement, the Cultural Olympiad is a unique opportunity to bring the Games out of their competitive arenas and to the people in the host countries."

A calendar of artistic initiatives
