A lot of people attended the programme drawn up to celebrate the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 throughout Italy

Lots of people, unforgettable days under the aegis of sport, in a joyful setting packed with people of all ages. This was only part of what characterized the latest 'Italia dei Giochi' events.

A project that embraces the whole of Italy by promoting sports events organised on the territory by public bodies and associations that promote the values of sport, Olympism and Paralympism, inclusion, sustainability, and the culture of movement. In collaboration with CONI and CIP, the project was drawn up to celebrate the Italian 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games all over in the country.

Over the past few weeks, 'Italia dei Giochi' has participated in numerous events, also counting on the presence of 'Tina and Milo' - the mascots of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 - who, with their friendliness, delighted the adults and children ready to take photos with the two stoats.

The 'Italia dei Giochi' station was of course also present to allow people to discover all the initiatives relating to the upcoming Italian Olympic Winter Games and register for 'Fan26', the digital community designed to keep fans up to date on the Milano Cortina 2026 programmes and to let them experience special moments all devised by the Fondazione and its partners.

But let's quickly run through the latest stages of the Italia dei Giochi tour.

The Genoa Sports Festival

The first event, in chronological order, was the 'Festa dello Sport' (24-26 May) in Genoa, where the presence of Milano Cortina 2026 alongside CONI was massive and diverse during the three-day event.

Throughout the morning of Friday 24, Tina and Milo were on hand to entertain participants from toddlers to adults, all united by their passion and curiosity for the upcoming Olympic Winter Games.

The Genoa event offered a rich programme of sports and entertainment activities which included different sports tournaments. In addition, the Sports Festival included performances, meetings with renowned athletes, food stands and information hubs of various sports and cultural associations.

The aim of the event was to promote a healthy and active lifestyle, involve the local community and attract visitors from all over the region: a unique opportunity to discover and experience new sports, while having fun in a festive and inclusive environment.

In Rimini for 'Adriatico, sull’onda dello sport'

The second leg of the Italia dei Giochi tour landed on the Romagna Riviera, in Rimini (31 May - 1 June), for the event 'Adriatico, sull’onda dello sport'.

On Friday and Saturday, the 'Italia dei Giochi' station remained open to allow people to discover all the initiatives relating to the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games and register for 'Fan26'.

The two-day sports event was attended by around 400 young people from schools in Rimini and its province, while the ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by CONI Emilia-Romagna President Andrea Dondi, Rimini CONI delegate Rodolfo Zavatta, and two sporting testimonials, such as the sailor Luca Rosetti and the European middleweight champion boxer Matteo Signani.

'Tutto Sport in Prato' in Padua

The twentieth edition of 'Tutto Sport in Prato', an event promoted and organised by CONI Veneto with the patronage of the municipality and province of Padua, on the occasion of the National Day of Sport, was organized in Padua. A day that celebrated the beauty and importance of sport in our country throughout Italy. In Padua, the event took place in Prato della Valle, one of the most beautiful squares in Italy, where at least 6,000 people took part in the numerous initiatives planned, with around 2,000 children (the rest were parents and visitors) engaging in a dozen sports.

The morning was dedicated to mini-volleyball, one of the main sporting activities in the province, but also to the presentation of the CONI plaques for 15 clubs that have distinguished themselves for their promotional activities with young people. The varied choice of sporting activities certainly did not disappoint the expectations of the boys and girls and even entertained the parents. Overall, the whole day's organisational effort involved around one hundred sports clubs and at least two hundred volunteers and instructors who worked with great passion and professionalism.

The journey has only just begun

The Italia dei Giochi tour does certainly not end here: in fact, the next stop will be in Frassinoro, in the Modena province, for the Frassinoro Summer Biathlon Festival (28-30 June) with the presence of the igloo and mascots, arranged for Saturday 29.

A series of events, therefore, that will allow thousands of people to start breathing in the atmosphere of the Olympic and Paralympic Games with Paris 2024 now just around the corner and Milano Cortina 2026 in less than two years' time, ready to amaze fans all over the world.
