Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 and Enel have signed a partnership agreement for the next Winter Games to be held in Italy in 2026. The Italian company will be the Electricity Premium Partner of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 and will support the organisation of the sports event with solutions for the supply of electricity to some of the sites where the competitions will take place.
The collaboration with Enel marks an important step in the run-up to the Winter Games in Milano Cortina 2026: an agreement that aims to achieve a successful Games through the full integration of the values of sport and sustainability, exploiting electricity resources derived exclusively from renewable sources.
With just over 500 days to go before the Opening Ceremony of the event, the signing of the partnership with Enel becomes a keystone on the road to the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026.
Enel will be the Electricity Premium Partner of the most popular Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games ever
The edition will promote an unprecedented model, where athletes from all over the world will compete for the first time in a 22,000-kilometre2 area where mountain and urban contexts merge, emphasising the uniqueness of our country. An opportunity not only for the world of sport but for the entire Italian business fabric.
"With Enel's entry as the Premium Electricity Partner of Milano Cortina 2026, we welcome a leading company representing a key sector for the upcoming Winter Games: electricity. The new collaboration, built on sharing the values of sport, will prove to be crucial for the realisation and success of a sporting event of this scope. We are preparing for an event of the utmost importance, the biggest sporting event organised in Italy in the last decade and for years to come. In 2026, the world will participate passionately in the Italian Winter Games and our partners will be the protagonists.” This is the comment of Milano Cortina 2026 CEO Andrea Varnier.
